CTP Hell

Are you so smart or am I so dumb. That's the thought I was left with after trying to use Xaml today. The whole afternoon was lost installing, uninstalling and stalled installs waiting for dos popup messages. Being used to central installers like portage, synaptic and Yast, having to install things by hand was like being thrown back a century. I felt better when even the MS bloggers refered to the install procedure as CTP Madness. As it turns out, my task was relatively easy, early adopters have solved the real challenges:
